The WORK XL is made up of a Ford Transit chassis, a body which has been built to Deutsche Post DHL specifications, and a battery-electric drivetrain. Boasting a load volume of 20 cubic metres and enough space to carry over 200 parcels, the WORK XL is certainly a significant upgrade in this regard from its predecessors: the WORK and WORK L have a load volume of only 4 and 8 cubic metres respectively. Alcohol inks have been my obsession for the last few months because there are SO many projects you can do with them. They are a bit more expensive than say quality acrylics or oils, but they have way more versatility.

If you are not familiar with alcohol inks and are wanting to experiment, just know that these inks work best on non-porous surfaces. So, things like glass, clay, ceramic, plastic, metal, etc. are your best “canvases”.

Yupo is a beautiful and mighty strong type of paper that you can use to paint with alcohol inks. However, this a lot more money per sheet than I was willing to spend (but I am incredibly thrifty so don’t doubt yourself if that is the material you want to use).

Someone on Pinterest shared a post about a sale from craftables website. They sell all types of vinyl at a fantastic price! Honestly I did not even know that was an option in the art world.

Adhesive vinyl is a shiny plastic feeling sticker that you can use for all types of things. I have used it to enhance my everyday planner, to decorate my upcycled jelly jars & coffee cans that I use to store my crafting necessities, and recently discovered what a wonderful companion this material can be to alcohol inks.

Here is a few pictures of the white adhesive vinyl that I used with alcohol inks. Keep in mind the entire back side can peel off to adhere to some other item, or you could leave it in tact and frame it to make a beautiful framed work of art.

Again, this is all new to me, so my paintings are not great, but perfect for demonstrating the absolutely stunning color quality that these adhesive vinyl pieces showcase. The squares above were a “grab bag” from Craftables, so there were only a few white ones out of the bunch.

Just ordered a roll of white adhesive vinyl on Amazon for a great price, but when I want lots of colors for all types of projects, I shop for these through Craftables. They offer a grab bag which is roughly $7/pound, and they have a chart to let you know approximately how many pieces you will receive.

I am not at all trying to dog on Yupo paper, but I am a gal that likes to find new ways to do things (especially when they can save me and my readers hard earned money).
